If you are a fan of The Dick Van Dyke Show, you’re in for a treat. On December 11, CBS will air for the first time in color two episodes of the classic sitcom.
The Dick Van Dyke Show aired from 1961 to 1966 and remains one of television history’s beloved sitcoms.
The episodes that will be shown in color are “That’s My Boy?” and “Coast to Coast Big Mouth.”
In “That’s My Boy?” the Season 3 premiere that originally aired on September 25, 1963, Dick Van Dyke’s character Rob Petrie remembers the day he and Laura (played by Mary Tyler Moore) brought baby Ritchie home from the hospital but believed that they had brought home the wrong child. And in “Coast to Coast Big Mouth,” the Season 5 premiere that originally aired on September 15, 1965, Laura is on a quiz show and says on national television that Rob’s boss Alan Brady wears a toupee.
