Brain Food from @kleffnotes: Whole Latte Brains ( @iZombieWriters @CWiZombie )

This recipe is one I have been excited to try out since the barista brain a few seasons back. I tried my hand at a homemade tea latte with a brainy spin for this week’s iZombie recipe and I hope you enjoy it.

Ingredients:

1/4 or 1/2 cup milk (either 1% or 2%)

1 teabag that steeps red (I used a cherry herbal tea)

Pink food coloring

Brew a cup of tea in any way that you like, make sure to only fill up half of the cup with water.

While your tea steeps fill a mason jar with either 1/4 or 1/2 cup of milk and add at least three drops of pink food dye. This depends on how milky you like your tea.

Put on the mason jar lid and shake for 60 seconds. Once you shake it up, take off the lid and put it in the microwave for 30 seconds.

As the microwave is going remove the teabag from your teacup and once the microwave beeps pull the milk carefully out of the microwave once the foam goes down a bit. Then carefully spoon foam on top of tea. After you have placed all of the foam on the tea carefully pour milk into the cup from the side.

There you have it a brainy latte! If you have a milk steamer or prefer to foam milk on the stove please feel free. I was just trying to do a quick and easy version.
