August 28 is J. August Richards’ birthday.

Richards is best known to television audiences for his portrayal of vampire hunter and Team Angel member Charles Gunn in the television cult series Angel. The character first appeared in Season 1 Episode 20 “War Zone.” J. August Richards recurred on the show for the reminder of Season 1 before becoming a regular cast member in Season 2 through to the series conclusion at Season 5.

Richards has an extension list of film and television credits which includes Good Burger, Why Do Fools Fall In Love? Sliders, Angel, Grey’s Anatomy, Raising the Bar, Notorious, Conviction and, Marvel’s Agents of Shield.

Along with former Angel cast, J. August Richards will be appearing in October at New York Comic Con for the Angel panel. He is also attending Starfury Conventions 10th Annual Vampire The Ball.
