The film stars Renée Zellweger as Garland, with Jessie Buckley, Finn Wittrock, Rufus Sewell and Michael Gambon in supporting roles. The film had its world premiere at the Telluride Fil Festival on 30 August 2019 and is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on 27 September 2019 and in the United Kingdom on 2 October 2019.
