“I’m Mary Poppins Y’all!” a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Review (No Spoilers) via @quietlikeastorm #gotg2 #Iamgroot

I was lucky a couple days ago when my schedule opened up and I was able to go and see the latest marvel movie, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, in 3D. I had really enjoyed the first one, but admittedly was a bit apprehensive for the second installment. Sequels are almost never as good/funny as the original and the first GotG was both. How did the second volume stack up? Read on below to find out. Also no spoilers except a few pics, very general impressions about the characters and what happened to them during the film.┬áDon’t be a trash panda and skip this because of that-read it anyways!

#DoctorStrange is a Trippy Ride, a Movie Review via @quietlikeastorm

I have to admit to something before this review gets started. I’m not a Doctor Strange fan. For all my love of fantasy and magic, I have never been into his character in the comics. So going into this movie, I felt like a blank slate. I know only the basics of his story, powers, and where this may be leading in the Marvel movies. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised by how much I did enjoy it, but no movie is perfect. Read on for my thoughts, concerns and all the spoilers.

#Damien Finale ‘Ave Satani’ Proves that @AETV should #RenewDamien via @quietlikeastorm

Throughout all my reviews of the first season of Damien, I have maintained that it is a very smart horror show. It wasn’t about the blood and guts that is so popular in today’s horror and it wasn’t about the jump scares and screaming attractive teenagers of yesteryear either. Damien has been able to not only bring in the best of those elements, but also make something entirely its own. It was hard for many to wrap their heads around it at first. They wanted it spoon fed to them. Why think about an antichrist that has a conscience and may not want to do this or even believe it, when he could be out taking over the world already? Now, now, now. I like that showrunner Glen Mazzara and his writers rejected this and instead brought us the thinker that is Damien.
