A Look at @bretjgreen as Preston @CBSInspectors via @stacyamiller85 #TheInspectors

CBS’ The Inspectors takes a look at postal crimes in an effort to inform and educate viewers as to the dangers to look for so that they don’t become a victim.

In addition to the message of being aware of crimes committed involving the mail, there is another message of The Inspectors which is to rise above challenges despite physical limitations. This message is conveyed through the character of Preston Wainwright, portrayed by Bret Green.  Preston became paralyzed due to a car accident that claimed the life of his father. However, instead of wallowing in pity, Preston spends his time as an intern in the crime lab where his mother Amanda (Daytime Emmy Winner Jessica Lundy) works as a Postal Inspector. Preston also offers encouragement to his friends Noah (Harrison Knight) and Veronica (Erica Sanchez) when they face problems.

Although Preston appears fun-loving and happy-go-lucky, he is a serious young man trying to navigate the road of change his life has taken due to his physical challenges.  He served as a technical adviser on a film to provide accuracy for the actress playing a character in a wheelchair. However, it was a recent episode of The Inspectors that Preston let his own insecurities show.  He admitted to his mother the fear and self-doubt that comes with being in a wheelchair. Displaying raw emotion, Bret Green allowed Preston to let his insecurities show – How could anyone love the person he is now?  I’m sure that there are many people who have gone through the same uncertainty after a physical injury.  They want people to look at them the same as before but more often than not, sadly that isn’t possible.  Even the most supportive of those in our lives can display moments of pity without knowing it.

I am impressed with Bret Green’s growth as an actor since bringing Preston Wainwright to life. Now that The Inspectors has been renewed for a second season, we will get to experience more of Preston’s journey.

  1. I’ve been browsing online more than 3 hours today, but I never discovered any fascinating article like yours.
It is pretty value enough for me. Personally, if all
website owners and bloggers made excellent content as you probably
did, the web will likely be a lot more useful than ever before.
