The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards hosted by Jimmy Kimmel airs September 20, 2020 on ABC.
The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards will honor the best in U.S. prime time television programming from June 1, 2019 until May 31, 2020, as chosen by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The ceremony was originally to be held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was changed virtually from the actors’ homes across the U.S. and will be held on September 20, 2020, and broadcast in the U.S. by ABC. It will be preceded by the 72nd Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards on September 14 through 17. The ceremony will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel (Wikipedia).
