On Monday, December 22, 2021, The 44th Kennedy Center Honors is being televised on CBS.
The Kennedy Center Honors is an annual honor given to those in the performing arts for their lifetime of contributions to American culture (although recipients do not need to be U.S. citizens). The honors have been presented annually since 1978, culminating each December in a star-studded gala celebrating the honorees in the Kennedy Center Opera House (Wikipedia).
Here is the synopsis from TV Guide: “David Letterman hosts the 44th annual celebration in Washington, D.C. honoring operatic bass-baritone Justino Díaz; Motown founder, songwriter, producer, and director Berry Gordy; “Saturday Night Live” creator Lorne Michaels; legendary stage and screen icon Bette Midler; and singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell.”
Don’t miss The 44th Kennedy Center Honors airing Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 9/8c on CBS.
