There’s a new series beginning October 3 on NBC that answers the question of can we change the past to save the future?
The series is called Timeless. It is created by Eric Kripke, the creator of that little show on The CW Supernatural, that is beginning its 12th season of October 13. It is the network’s longest running show. That in itself should give any viewer the confidence in Kripke’s ability to create something the public loves. But let’s now talk about the merits of Timeless without the Kripke and Supernatural mentions.
Timeless is a Sci Fi drama series starring Goran Visnjic as a criminal named Garcia Flynn who is able to steal a time machine to travel back in time with the purpose of changing history. Three people will work together in order to capture him and stop the serious ramifications that changing history will likely bring. They are a history professor named Lucy Preston (Abigail Spencer), a soldier named Wyatt Logan (Matt Lanter) and a scientist named Rufus Carlin (Malcolm Barrett). This unique team will utilize their various skills to apprehend Flynn before his actions destroy the world. As a fan of time travel and a student of American History, I am intriqued by any show where the theme of time travel is a focus. Additionally, I have followed Abigail Spencer’s career since her days on the now defunct ABC soap opera All My Children and watch any project in which she is involved. Matt Lanter was in The CW remake of 90210 as well as the short-lived Star Crossed (I still haven’t forgiven The CW for cancelling that one!) So again, for me it was also a matter of familiarity and respect for these actors’ work.

I think viewers should give Timeless a look. With an interesting premise and a talented cast, what do you have to lose?
Timeless airs Mondays at 10/9c on NBC.
