It was announced at the Television Critics Association summer press tour that Lifetime has renewed UnReal for Season 4 even before Season 3 has aired.
UnReal was created by Marti Noxon and Sarah Gertrude Shapiro and is a drama that shows what goes on behind the scenes in producing the reality The Bachelor like television series Everlasting. The series stars Shiri Appleby as Rachel Goldberg, the producer of Everlasting and Constance Zimmer as Quinn King as her “take no prisoners” boss. UnReal debuted on June 1, 2015 to critical acclaim and has been praised for its sharp dialogue, earning it an Emmy nomination for writing (Zimmer also scored a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2016).
The Lifetime cable series usually airs in the summer. However, Season 3 of UnReal has been pushed back to sometime in early 2018.
Congratulations to UnReal on your fourth season renewal. We await the dramatic happenings next year on Season 3 as it looks like Everlasting will have its first female suitor.
