If you grew up in the 1970s like me, there was a television series you watched with your family on Friday nights. And it had a family you may have wanted as your own. With Mike, Carol, Alice and six kids, you have a hunch I’m talking about The Brady Bunch.
Maureen McCormick played the oldest Brady girl, Marcia. Soon, young girls everywhere were striving to become “Marcia Marcia Marcia.” McCormick went on to appear in many other television series such as The Love Boat, Happy Days and Marcus Welby, M.D. She also reprised her role as Marcia for A Very Brady Christmas, The Brady Girls Get Married and The Brady Brides. Although to fans of The Brady Bunch will always remember Maureen McCormick as Marcia, she is also an author and recently proved herself to be quite a dancer when she appeared on Dancing With The Stars. So on this August 5 your birthday Maureen, I wish you much happiness and thank you for the joy you brought to my family and countless others.
