It has been one year since I wrote my coming out article for The Nerdy Girl Express and roughly one year since I came out to my parents, which was the major coming out element I had yet to do in my life. After one year I wanted to do some follow-up and share how my life has changed in the roughly 365 days since I completely came out. Room To Grow Series #NationalComingOutDay Debut Review from @kleffnotes

Revry is the first ever global queer content focused streaming service and specifically for National Coming Out Day they are celebrating with the release of a brand new docu-series, Room To Grow. This series will focus on the coming out stories of various voices within the LGBTQ+ community and as a special treat I was able to check out the first episode a little early. The series releases today as a part of National Coming Out Day and even with just a look at episode one I can promise that it will be an emotionally and beautifully done show. #NationalComingOutDay: Sharing Our Stories and Why Representation Matters from @kleffnotes

Today, October 11th, is National Coming Out Day. This is a day that celebrates that special, though not always easy, moment of coming out to those you love and sharing your identity as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Some of the best moments of representation within popular media include the moment a character comes out to their family and friends and to celebrate today I wanted to highlight some of those moments as well as share some of my personal experiences, as well as the experience of a friend who helped me finally decide to open up to my own family.
