I recently wrote about Ava Acres when she portrayed the Young Rebecca Bunch on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.  I applauded the casting of Ava, who displayed an emotional range to convincingly handle the part.

It looks like lightening does strikes twice. Ava was cast as Young Regina Mills in Once Upon a Time. Lana Parrilla plays the adult version. Parrilla’s Regina, formerly The Evil Queen, is a woman who suffered love and loss and retaliated by inflicting pain on others. But Regina wasn’t always evil. She was once an innocent young girl hungry for her mother Cora’s love. That’s what Ava Acres’ characterization depicts. Young Regina wanted her mother to spend time with her. But more than that, she wanted a sister. Regina and Zelena got to be sisters for a short time as children until Cora separated them and gave them the Waters of Forgetfulness.

I was happy to see Ava Acres on another of my favorite shows. I can’t wait to see where this talented young actress pops up next.
