Happy Birthday @RobertpWatkins #GH ‘s Dillon via @stacyamiller85 #GeneralHospital @GeneralHospital

Today is actor Robert Palmer Watkins’ birthday.

Watkins plays the role of Dillon Quartermaine on ABC’s General Hospital.  As viewers of the long running daytime drama know, Dillon is the son of Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliott) and Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi).  Dillon was married to the late Georgie Jones.  The character left Port Charles after his young wife’s murder but returned a few years ago.

Robert Palmer Watkins has been playing Dillon since 2015. In that time, we’ve seen Dillon harbor feelings for Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) and have a brief romance with Valerie Spencer (Brytni Sarpy).  Dillon is a budding film maker, who was working on a movie that was being financed by his serial killer, ex-District Attorney father.  He often shoots photos for Nina (Michelle Stafford) at Crimson Magazine. Dillon is currently in a romance with Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin).

The talented actor is also a gifted musician.  He has attended several General Hospital fantasy events. Those who have met Robert say he is very down-to-Earth and friendly.

Watkins has been a welcome addition to General Hospital.  Being a recast (Dillon was previously played by Emmy Award winning actor Scott Clifton, who currently stars as Liam Spencer on CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful) is never easy. You have to keep some of the aspects of the character while making the role your own. Robert Palmer Watkins has done that playing Dillon.

So on this your birthday, Robert I wish you continued success and happiness with your career and thank you for playing Dillon.
