Wolf Country #8 @Planetjimbot Comics Review ( @JimPlanetjimbot @CampbellLetters ) from @kleffnotes

Wolf Country #8 continues the series that focuses on an isolated religious community of vampires living outside of civilized society. Each full moon they find themselves under attack by werewolves and must protect themselves. This issue returns us to the country and we are given a brief update on Luke as well as a military force of vampires.

The story opens with vampires out hunting for food, but in the country they are relying on wildlife for themselves and their animals. While they are in the midst of their hunting we move to the werewolf encampment, where Rilla is having a terrible dream. She can see the vampires coming and informs Luke that they are on their way. In this moment she also presses him to truly become a part of their pack instead of being a tourist among them. When we return to the vampires they find themselves dealing with an attack that they never expected. What will become of the vampires and how will this impact the werewolves?

The Wolf Country series is an interesting blend of religion and supernatural elements that I really enjoy. Issue #8 is an action packed read full of intense fight scenes and dramatic elements, beyond that we also learned a bit of backstory about some of the military connected vampires. If you are looking for a new take on vampires and werewolves then you definitely need to check out Wolf Country #8.
