Smallville and Beauty and the Beast’s Kristin Kreuk (Lana, Catherine) returns to The CW in Burden of Truth airing July 25. Th series originally aired on the Canadian network CBC and was picked up by The CW for a summer run.

Here is the synopsis from TV Guide of the Pilot episode: “Series premiere. A high-powered attorney returns to her rural hometown to get a major pharma client off the hook in a case involving some sick high school girls, but discovers there’s much more than meets the eye.”
