Review: Broadway Philadelphia Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella at Kimmel Center via @stacyamiller85 @KimmelCenter #BWYPHL

It was Broadway in Philadelphia as a production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella came to The Kimmel Center February 22-24, 2019.

The story of Cinderella has enchanted those who know it for decades. For the romantic, the idea of finding our Prince Charming and our true love is a wish your heart makes. Especially when our lives may be filled with struggles.

Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella brings this timeless classic to the stage. The production on stage at The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia starred Lukas James Miller as Prince Charming and Kaitlyn Mayse as Cinderella with a running time of approximately two hours and twenty minutes. However, the time goes by very quickly as you’re caught up in this whimsy musical featuring such songs as Hammerstein’s “In My Own Little Corner,“Impossible/ It’s Possible,” and “Ten Minutes Ago.” Every thing about this version captured the splendor of the story. It was spectacular in scope and a visual delight. I loved it and was magically transported as I watched.

If you live in Philadelphia or are visiting the area and want to take in the cultural events the city has to offer, I suggest going to other theater productions offered by The Kimmel Center. It’s the next best thing to attending a Broadway Show without the high cost of a trip to New York.
