NBC’s This Is Us is first and foremost a show about family and how each member plays an important piece in the Pearson puzzle. Because of powerful writing and performances showing the strength of its characters, viewers of This Is Us have not only taken the Pearsons into their homes week after week, but also into their hearts.
I’m a writer. I’ve published poetry books. I’ve interviewed actors, artists, authors and musicians. I’ve written articles and book reviews for The Nerdy Girl Express. In addition, I write a column with my twin sister Stacy titled “The Miller Twins Talk Supernatural” because Stacy and I are passionate fans of the CW’s longest running show about those Kansas born Winchester brothers (played by Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles) who travel cross-country in their classic 1967 Chevy Impala (affectionately nicknamed Baby) to hunt supernatural evil and save people. It’s a thankless job, but for Sam and Dean Winchester, it’s their “family business.” They’re the guys who have given their lives to save the world.

Even after the long and often painful road that life had taken William Hill (Ron Cephas Jones), his final moments were spent back home in Memphis, gazing into the eyes of his son (Sterling K. Brown). When William told Randall: “the two best things in his life were the person at the very beginning, and the person at the very end,” these words sent shivers through me.
NBC’s This Is Us continues to amaze with its powerfully gripping performances.
Tonight is the People’s Choice Awards and if any series and actors deserve to take home the prize, it’s This Is Us. The show as well as actors Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore have received nominations.

After the events of last week’s Thanksgiving, the Pearson children Kate, Kevin and Randall take a little trip in the This Is Us episode titled “The Trip” airing November 29.
Did you miss This Is Us? I sure did. After a week hiatus, the critically acclaimed and hit drama on NBC returns November 15 with an All New episode titled “The Best Washing Machine In The World.”
This Is Us continues as we learn more of Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca’s (MandyMoore) early history in the past. And in the future, Beth and Randall (Kelechi Watson and Sterling K. Brown) could be facing a change to their lives.
