Alterna Comics IF 2016 Anthology really does explain itself, this super-powered collection of comics brings together 40 comics in one impressive volume full of heroic tales.
The very first story, Terrific, will immediately draw you in. Captain Terrific is fully aware that he is a fictional character living in a fictional world, as his story progresses you’ll be caught up in what he feels he must do. The final panel is just devastatingly wonderful. Once you’re pulled into this anthology you won’t want to stop. There are children with superpowers, unexpected heroes, heroes in need of help, and so much more to enjoy.
The IF 2016 Anthology is a great introduction to Alterna Comics for comic readers young and old, longtime readers or those just starting out. It will help you find authors and artists in a variety of styles and genres, all connected under the cape of superheroes. Just one review isn’t enough for this remarkable anthology so to really showcase this wonderful volume of Alterna Comics I will be doing a few smaller reviews over the course of the next couple of weeks to highlight different writers, artists, and characters. I’ll make sure to mark them as IF Anthology Reviews with specific titles mentioned.
