Grey’s Anatomy and How To Get Away With Murder are back!

TGIT how did I miss thee.  I love summer, but if there’s one thing about the summer time that I don’t love (And it’s not the heat) is waiting for the new season to begin. Curiosity over what will happen next gets me worst than it got the cat.  Thankful, TGIT is back tonight with all new episodes of two of my favorite shows, Grey’s Anatomy and How to Get Away With Murder.

On Grey’s Anatomy, I’m eager to see what will happen to ‘Japil’.  Jackson and April had a bumpy ride last season as misunderstandings and miscommunication tore the couple apart.  And to top it off, right as they were preparing to divorce, April learned she was pregnant.  And of course, April keeps this a secret from her soon-to-be ex-husband. And you got it, more misunderstanding due to miscommunication.  Fortunately, April and Jackson finally talked and ironed out their differences for the sake of their child.  I’m looking forward to seeing them have the chance to be the parents they were denied the last time around.

Then there’s How To Get Away With Murder.  Or as I like to call it, ‘How To Twist The Law For Your Own Use.’  Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) was a hot mess last season as it looked like karma was taking a big bite out of her.  Lying and deception goes but so far, even when you’re a lawyer (Disclaimer: No disrespect to all the attorneys out there who respect and follow the letter of the law).  So, Annalise seemed to be close to a breakdown but like a cat (what’s with me and the cat puns?) she bounced back. But the next season promises to have Annalise practicing law in her trademark fashion.  And her students following her example and aiding in the needed cover-ups.  I’ve never attended law school so I have a question for anyone who has- why don’t the Keating students seem to have any other law classes?  I know they are vying for the coveted Keating trophy (And an ‘A’ in her class) but I guess they don’t care whether they fail all their other classes!

Anyway, Grey’s Anatomy and How to Get Away With Murder will keep me busy this season.   And I haven’t even mentioned the new kid on the  ABC Thursday television block, Notorious.  I don’t know whether I’ll watch it or not but from the reviews, I hear it will do TGIT proud.
