Co-written and directed by Griff Furst this spooky little chiller is based on the novel Cold Moon Over Babylon by the late Michael McDowell, author of Beetlejuice and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
With an impressive cast including Josh Stewart (Shooter, The Dark Knight Rises), Christopher Lloyd (Back To The Future, among many, many, many others), Robbie Kay (Once Upon A Time, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides), Candy Clark (Twin Peaks, Zodiac), Rachele Brooke Smith (Center Stage:On Point, The Nice Guys), and Frank Whaley (Luke Cage, The Doors), this movies delivers the chills.
In a quiet little town in Florida, sixteen year old Margaret goes missing. After a couple days a local fishes up her body in the river tied to her bicycle. The whole town is shaken by this tragedy, as there’s not a clue as to who could be behind this disgusting act. The killer reveals himself all too soon, as he’s haunted by the ghosts of his victims, while his prominent father runs his every move.
This movie keeps you on your toes and really brings the terrors, AND still leaves you with a wtf feel! I’m not totally sure what happened, if the killer was crazy or if I am lol, but damn that ending, damn, wow. It’s a great flick to catch right before Halloween with a damn good cast. It did start off a little slow, but trust me when I say it didn’t take long for it to pick up, definitely on my recommendation list.
If you haven’t caught it yet…what are you waiting for?!?
