Geek-Girl #FCBD Release Comic Review ( @daSamJohnson ) from @kleffnotes

Geek-Girl: Whatever Happened to Ruby Kaye is a digital issue of the Geek-Girl series that will be releasing on Saturday, May 5th. This particular date is very important this year for comic book lovers because it just so happens to be Free Comic Book Day. This issue of the series acts as a recap for readers as well as a lead in to an upcoming Geek-Girl run, which will begin on May 30th.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Geek-Girl, I’ve covered the series previously on The Nerdy Girl Express, Ruby Kaye manages to snag a pair of glasses that give the wearer superpowers. Once she gets these glasses though she finds herself alienated by her friends and left trying to figure out just who she is outside of the popular friend group. While trying to prove herself as a hero she comes across the villain Lightning Storm, who might be the toughest foe she’ll ever face.

In Geek-Girl: Whatever Happened to Ruby Kaye we see the outcome of their battle and are introduced to a new organization that plans to act in Maine, where the comics are set. Will Ruby Kaye be able to save the day as Geek-Girl or will Lightning Storm win in the end? If you are looking for an interesting new hero Geek-Girl is the perfect read for you. Get caught up and ready for the May 30th release with this free download to celebrate Free Comic Book Day through the official Geek-Girl website.
