@StarsEndComic #2 Review ( @realsmashcomix )from @kleffnotes

In the continuation of the Star’s End series, issue two picks up with the crew back on their ship and dealing with the loss of a crew mate. After bringing the human woman on board tensions are high and they must determine what to do next. The crew will have to face a variety of problems in this issue, each worse than the last.

In the first issue of the series, which I have reviewed previously, we learn that in this universe animals were given a chance to evolve into the superior race. This means that humans act as their workers and are often in areas that are tremendously dangerous. When one of the colonies has an outbreak our crew must go in and determine what is happening. This has led them to fight what appear to be rabid humans, but Taania has brought one on board to be examined. This choice leads to a startling revelation when the human in their care begins hearing something that none of the others can hear.

This issue is full of action and the idea of mutiny is constantly discussed. Taania may have survived, but one specific member of the crew is violently angry about this fact and the two get into an argument that escalates beyond words. The human they are caring for also begins to act strangely and whatever is affecting her seems to be far more dangerous than they could have anticipated. If you enjoy alternate futures I think you will enjoy Star’s End.
