Surprise it is the day before Christmas! Because Christmas Eve fell on a Monday you totally forgot to grab something your family get together or your friend’s party or you thought you’d ship your folks something and you suddenly find yourself in a situation even Prime can’t fix. I have some quick and easy suggestions to get your loved ones something right on time.
You can’t go wrong with charity: If you have a friend or family member you know sometimes donates to charity or they have a particular cause they are super dedicated to, make a donation in their name. I know this doesn’t give them anything physical, but donating in someone’s name shows that you know what they care about and allows you to help others too. I am sure your friend will appreciate it and you can always send them a sweet e-card or message so that it gets to them by Christmas.
Help out with a bill: If you happen to be using someone’s Netflix, Hulu, or other subscription account and they typically don’t ask you to pay anything offer to cover a month or two as their holiday gift. If you live near them you can drop them some money or if they are farther away you can always work out a way to get them the money through a variety of apps.
Send them a movie or cd: There are so many digital ways to watch movies or listen to music that you could definitely find something your friend would want to watch or listen to and gift it to them. This is perfect for indie movies that run through independent sites instead of being hosted through Amazon or other streaming services. You can order the movie for someone and just have it sent directly to their email. I’ve done this one a few times myself and it is exceptionally easy.
Bake or cook them something tasty: This one works best for people who live nearby or who you live with. You can whip up a tasty treat or snack for something that they can enjoy or even take to a holiday party to share with others.
There are a variety of ways to get someone something at the last minute for the holidays and I hope that these suggestions help you out if you’ve found yourself in a bit of a pinch.
