This October the television series Angel about the champion vampire with a soul celebrates its 20th anniversary.
Charisma Carpenter as Cordelia Chase was one of the reasons for the huge fan following of the series during and since its television airing.
She played the unforgettable Cordelia Chase on both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.

Charisma Carpenter made an impact in the Whedon shows portraying a stronger female character who was a champion. Although Cordelia Chase didn’t have super slayer strength like Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar), she was a fighter for the forces of good. Before being trained to combat vampires by Angel (David Boreanaz), Cordelia put her fear aside of supernatural evil and things that go bump in the night and joined the Scooby Gang of Sunnydale. She even helped the Scoobies defeat Mayor “I’m a Giant Snake Demon” Wilkins on Graduation Day.
Then she moved to Los Angeles to find fame and fortunate as an actress. That dream never materialized. But Cordelia had a bigger purpose in life. She saved people. Inheriting head splitting vision given by the Powers that Be from half demon Doyle (Glenn Quinn), Cordelia directed Angel to those in need.
