To Bane, With Love from @kleffnotes

This article is a bit of a follow-up piece to my Harley and Ivy article that primarily focused on the animated Harley Quinn series. While watching it my wife Krista decided that her favorite character was Bane and as one of the few people on this planet, if not the only person, who reads all of my articles she noted his lack of presence in my previous feature. Instead of crafting an addendum and then putting an update I thought I would instead write about the character of Bane and how the Harley Quinn series handles this particular character. The Bi Line: Harley Quinn and #Harlivy from @kleffnotes

In the past few years I have grown to love the character Harley Quinn primarily through the Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner comics. I was very dedicated to having Harley on my pull list, now that I live in the country the pull list is gone, but I do still read some Harley, buy Harley merch, and re-watch Harley Quinn: The Birds of Prey. When I heard about the animated Harley Quinn series I was very curious about it, but I didn’t want to commit to another streaming service. When season one come out on DVD I ordered it and convinced Krista we should watch it. Not only did we watch the first season, but within three days we watched all of season two and let me tell you it was completely worth the binging. Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey Thoughts from @kleffnotes

After much waiting, so much in fact that the name of the movie changed before I even got to go see it, I was finally able to see what I am going to call throughout the rest of this article, Birds of Prey. Admittedly I originally thought the movie was coming out Valentine’s Day weekend, but with tight scheduling on my part I wasn’t able to go see the movie until the Sunday after Valentine’s Day. Highlighting Harley Quinn in @DCComics from @kleffnotes

My weekly pull list at my local comic book store, Alter Ego Comics, is full of DC Comics and there is one character who dominates the storylines. I hadn’t actually noticed that Harley Quinn appeared in so many of the comics I read every week until recently. When the Justice League and Suicide Squad crossover happened the amount of Harley in my pulls was remarkable. She was in almost every comic that I was taking home. Each of these Harley’s have their own personalities and I wanted to spend a little bit of time talking about each of them. Continue reading “Highlighting Harley Quinn in @DCComics from @kleffnotes”

@SuicideSquadWB Review from @kleffnotes

There has been a lot of hype for Suicide Squad, honestly I think I saw trailers for it before I even saw a trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. I have discussed my love of Batman characters before, I love Harley and The Joker, while insanely evil, is one of my favorite villains, and I was anxiously awaiting this movie for months. Fangirl Freakouts: #HarleyQuinn Movie from @kleffnotes

It was announced this week that Warner Brothers will be working on a Harley Quinn movie with Margot Robbie and that seemed like the perfect topic for a Fangirl Freakouts video. I give you my thoughts and hopes for the future movie, and do some hinting about wanting to be involved. I mean just in case you are listening DC and Warner Brothers.
