Finally My Bloodsucking Bastards Review

I have been waiting ages to see the movie Bloodsucking Bastards and I finally got my hands on a copy of it. I’m a sucker for a vampire movie and I heard such awesome things about this one that I couldn’t wait to review it.

The movie starts off looking more like an office comedy than a horror movie, very in the vein of Shaun of the Dead. We meet Evan, who really just wants to get promoted to sales manager, and his slacker friends. When a new sales manager suddenly appears, with a connection to Evan’s past, things get bloody, employees get more efficient, and security guards get amped up on energy drinks.

What makes this movie so great is the fact that the the vamp situation is so obvious to everyone. Evan is literally the last person to figure out that vampires are running rampant in the office, even though he totally finds a dead body in the bathroom. Frank, the security guard, already has an entire arsenal prepared to take out the undead, after he did some online research. The vampire deaths are wonderfully ridiculous with blood spurting everywhere. Everything about the office setting works perfectly for the vampire plot. Apparently there is so little sun let in for worker efficiency that the vampires can be safe there no matter what time of day it is. Besides that office supplies get retrofitted into monster killing weapons, though pencils are maybe not the best choice.

I was cracking up throughout this entire movie and I totally want to start using Bam Snap all the time for any reason I can think of. What can I say, it grew on me. If you are a fan of vampire movies you should definitely check Bloodsucking Bastards out. Heck, if you like funny things in general you should get this movie right now.
