Five #GeneralHospital Stories I’m Excited For in 2018 via @stacyamiller85 @GeneralHospital #GH @valentinifrank

It’s 2018. A new year. What will happen in Port Charles? Here are the 5 General Hospital stories I’m excited for in 2018.

Sam/Drew/Jason.  If there ever was complicated family drama, it’s the saga of Sam (Kelly Monaco), Drew (Billy Miller) and Jason (Steve Burton). One woman in love with two men who just happen to be twin brothers. You can’t blame Sam for having feelings for these guys. They are both great men; strong and caring and have proven she means the world to them. It’s neither Drew or Jason’s fault that they were both victims of Dr. Andre Maddox’s (Anthony Montgomery) memory mapping procedure, which gave Drew all of Jason’s memories making him believing he was Jason Morgan. But now that Sam and Jason shared a kiss on New Year’s, where does that leave she and Drew?

Nelle’s baby. Nelle (Chloe Lanier) made a lot of mistakes since she’s come to Port Charles.  The major one was targeting Carly (Laura Wright) in her plot for revenge. Nelle is the daughter of Frank Benson, Carly’s adoptive father and believed his lies against Mrs. Corinthos. Scheming to get into Carly’s good graces in order to set up Sonny to make it look as though they (Nelle and Sonny) slept together was a bad move on Nelle’s part. Being on Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly’s enemy list is NOT a place anyone would want to be! Fortunately for her, their son Michael (Chad Duell) had fallen in love with Nelle and stood by her. That is, until he caught her in constant lies. Fed up, Michael broke up with Nelle. So, it was convenient when she announced that she was pregnant with his child. Will the paternity test reveal Michael is the father?

Anna and Finn vs. Cassandra.  In order to bring down Cassandra’s (Jessica Tuck) drug operation, Anna (Finola Hughes) and Dr. Harrison Finn (Michael Easton) posed as a couple so Anna could use her WSB contacts to get the goods on Ms. Pierce while Finn pretended to be on board as a doctor to help manufacture the deadly synthetic substance. But  Cassandra discovered that Finn had planted a bug in her phone and now she intends to make he and Ms. Devane pay. What started as a fake romance has turned into something real for Anna and Finn. But as Finn returned to Casa Devane with flowers to celebrate New Year’s Eve with Anna, he found her missing and Cassandra standing there.  What has Cassandra done with Anna? Will Finn be able to rescue her?

Nina/Valentin/Cassandra.  Nina and Valentin are perfect for each other.  They’ve both made mistakes, but their love and commitment to their family and marriage is the most important thing in their lives. The old Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) would have lied to Nina (Michelle Stafford) when she questioned his relationship with Cassandra, but not the man he is now. Valentin came clean to Nina about his past with Cassandra. And Nina warned Cassandra that she (Nina) wasn’t someone to be messed with. Neither is Cassandra as Valentin already knew and is rediscovering. When her henchman discovered the bug Finn had hidden in her cellphone, Cassandra immediately accused Valentin of planting the listening device. Even though she now knows Finn did the deed, Cassandra can’t leave any loose ends, which means bye bye Valentin. What a terrible way to spend his first anniversary to Nina!  Will Nina learn of her husband’s plight and save Valentin? Stay tuned.

Franco and Elizabeth.  Franco’s past is full of despicable actions against many in Port Charles (Sam, Michael etc.). It was revealed that a brain tumor caused him to do those cruel things. In his own way, Franco has been trying to make amends ever since. His romance with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) has been good as Nurse Webber brings out the good in him. Plus, Franco is great with her sons, in particular Jake. This pairing is an odd couple to many who don’t understand what Elizabeth could possibly see in Franco. Now, they are engaged. But what will Elizabeth do when she discovers that Franco is keeping from her his suspicions that pre-brain tumor as a child he pushed three year old Drew down a flight of stairs? Will she remain with him or believe that he was always evil and break up with him?
