Scrimshaw is back with issue 4 and the action picks right back up as the crew continues to protect the mysterious octopus. With everyone split up we watch the story spread out on two fronts. Captain Hans is working diplomatically, while Herman and the Captain’s wife are working on their own plan at a tea house.
Herman has been revived after a fight in the previous issue and with him awake, he and Lady K are meeting with the owner of the tea shop who has his own secrets. Captain Hans is having his own parlay about the octopus and surprisingly he is also enjoying a tea. The negotiations on his end seem to be going well, but Herman and Lady K find themselves thrown into a massive shoot out led by the tea shop owner against a dangerous crew of men hunting for them and the octopus.
I have really enjoyed this series and was very glad to see it had returned to shelves after a bit of a hiatus. This issue has furthered the hunt for the octopus and is showing just how many different factions are searching for this strange creature. The action sequences are well done and work seamlessly within the story. If you are a fan of sci-fi, especially Firefly, I think this is the perfect read for you.
