Every holiday season traditional and streaming networks create a ton of holiday romantic comedies, but they consistently fail to create meaningful stories from the queer perspective.

Production teams Tello Films and DASH Productions are going to solve that problem this year with “Season of Love”, their first queer holiday romantic comedy feature, to address the lack of any predominant LGBTQ storylines in holiday romantic comedy films. The Bi Line: Alice & Iza @ClexaCon Feature from @kleffnotes

For my second Tello Films feature of the month I’ve actually chosen something you’ll be able to see at ClexaCon. As part of the Film Festival they will be screening their short, Alice & Iza. Both leads, much like with Nikki & Nora, have been announced as featured guests for ClexaCon 2019. Mandahla Rose plays Iza and is a returning ClexaCon guest and Guinevere Turner will be there for her first year and plays Alice. This short includes a number of other faces you might recognize including Bridget MacManus, Karmen Kregloe, and so many more. The Bi Line: Nikki & Nora @ClexaCon Feature from @kleffnotes

Every year ClexaCon hosts a Film Festival full of diverse LGBTQ+ content and I thought that for my two March Bi-Line articles I would feature some content from one specific company. Tello Films has been a partner and sponsor of ClexaCon since the beginning and this year they are bringing even more content to the convention. This week I wanted to highlight Nikki & Nora, a series that was resurrected by Tello after the original pilot was not picked up by a major network. Fangirl Freakouts: Happy Wife, Happy Life ( @tellofilms ) from @kleffnotes

The first Fangirl Freakouts filmed after my haircut, do not ask why I kept saying after ClexaCon. I had the pleasure of seeing Bridget McManus perform at Ships and Giggles, the comedy show at the convention, and I decided to check out her series with her wife, Karman, and another married couple Kristen Smith and Cat Davis.
