Kleff Con Fun at @ClexaCon Day 3: Comics, Autographs, and a Heck of a Lot of Andras from @kleffnotes

My third day in Vegas and the second day of ClexaCon got off to a super awesome start. I got up at 9 am, grabbed coffee and a croissant, and headed over to the venue for epicness.

My first panel of the day was Diversity in Comics led by amazing women from Black Girl Nerds and Geek Out. They discussed adding diversity to the existing comics field, talked about comics they related to, and so much more. I live tweeted the heck out of this panel so you should definitely check those out, but overwhelmingly the panel was just so well done and the women were wonderful. Also yes, Jane as Thor could be done so much better and not include cancer. Then I bummed around the vendors again, and totally bought more stuff. I needed reading material for the plane, okay and I really wanted the Wynonna Earp graphic novel. It also turns out the artist Lora Innes has been to my comic book store! We chatted about that for a while and I was just super shocked.

Then I decided to get my autographs from Elise Bauman and Natasha Negovanlis. I had little presents for them and they were super sweet. I also totally had on a KindaTV shirt and was mistaken briefly for KindaTV press. I’m not, but thanks for thinking I looked important everyone. They were just so wonderful and I can’t wait for the Hollstein and Almost Adults portions tomorrow. I will totally be Periscoping them! Then I chatted with some really cool people, oh and I took a picture with a very cool Holtzmann cosplayer. Then I randomly went to a panel on LGBTQ Social Media. It was a really cool panel and I did live tweet that one too, but admittedly I missed the beginning. Dana Piccoli rocked it as moderator and Emily Andras is hilarious.

The day ended with The Lost Girl panel and holy succubi that was fabulous. Zoie Palmer and Rachel Skarsten joined Emily Andras and shared a ton of great stuff about Lost Girl. They also talked about Dark Matter and Reign briefly. They threw around ideas for a very theoretical Lost Girl movie, which would be dang awesome, and the entire audience was gifted with the mental image of Zoie rolling around in a vat of ice cream.

I had another amazing day and seriously today is going to be intense. I’ll be running from Almost Adults to Hollstein, though I won’t be at the Hollstein Meet-Up, though I might try and dip in really quickly. Then I’m not sure what else I’ll be doing, but it is going to be just so much happening all in a row. Make sure to keep an eye out for everything, also might have some extra fun stuff to share for my round up Fangirl Freakouts video.
