iZombie is back and that means brand new brain recipes! I’m back in my kitchen whipping up some brainy recipes for the amazing hoards of iZombie fans. To kick off this season I’ve made Brain Chow, my take on a Midwestern staple.
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
2 tablespoons butter
1 box rice chex
1 and 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 container red food dye
1 mixing bowl
1 gallon size ziploc bag
In a microwave safe bowl combine the peanut butter, white chocolate chips, and at least half of your small container of red food dye. Heat in microwave for 3 minutes. While have things in the microwave, put your powdered sugar into your ziploc bag.
Once melted stir together and add in 2 tablespoons of butter. This will make the mixture the correct consistency. Begin pouring in rice chex, make sure to allow yourself room to stir. Once a majority of your chex are covered in pink, pour them into your ziploc bag. Seal the bag and begin shaking. Continue shaking until a majority of the powdered sugar has stuck to your chex.
Let cool at least a few hours, I let mine sit overnight. Then serve to your hoard, they will gobble it up I’m sure.
