I can’t believe the finale of this season is already here! To celebrate I’ve baked up a delicious Brain Dump Cake. Like most of my recipes this one is quick and easy and only takes about 10 minutes of time to throw together. Have fun watching the finale!
Ingredients
2 cans of cherry pie filling
1 box of cake mix (I used pink velvet, but you can use whatever you like)
2 sticks butter or margarine
Preheat oven to 350 Fahrenheit
Spary a 9×13 pan with non-stick spray
Pour in both cans of pie filling, make sure they evenly spread out
Cover filling with cake mix, again making sure it spreads evenly
Then cut up 1 and a half sticks of butter and place them on top of the cake mix
Once oven is heated bake for 30 minutes
At the 30 minute point check and if there is cake mix that is still powdery, remove it from the oven and add a little bit more butter and return to the oven for 5 more minutes
Once the cake mix is no longer powdery remove from the oven and let cool
You can serve this with ice cream, whipped topping, or eat it plain. The cake tastes a bit more like a cobble than a cake, but the cake portion is delicious. It actually reminds me a lot of cookie dough, well really underbaked gooey cookies and not just plain cookie dough. This recipe is definitely worth a try!
