The Little Book of Big Feelings Book Review from @kleffnotes

Maureen “Marzi” Wilson is well known for her popular Introvert Doodles and Kind of Coping and in her most recent book she explores all kinds of big feelings. The Little Book of Big Feelings takes readers on a journey of self-acceptance and validation in connection to their emotions. While we may have been conditioned to respond with an “I’m fine,” when asked how we are doing feeling other more complicated emotions are natural and should be celebrated.

Our emotions are only reaction to the experiences that we can go on to learn from and there is no such thing as a bad emotion. There is such a wide range of emotions that we should embrace within ourselves and each other. With her over 175 relatable and supportive comics in her signature style she shares with readers the benefit that feeling and accepting our emotions can give us. Her art is a delight to see and is a humorous exploration of her own thoughts and how you might benefit from them.

If you are looking for a fun book to flip through, this is an easy read and would make a great last minute stocking stuffer if you can track it down before your closely looming holiday deadlines. In her work Marzi Wilson not only emphasizes knowing yourself, but also knowing how to be empathetic and consider those around you in connection to your emotions. The Little Book of Big Feelings is a perfect way to check in with yourself and your emotional well-being.
