Now This is Batwoman! from @kleffnotes

I have been very behind on watching anything on The CW, but finally had the time to catch up on the brand new season of Batwoman. I had been a bit critical of the first season for a variety of … Continue reading Now This is Batwoman! from @kleffnotes

Batwoman Season 1 Blu-ray Release Review from @kleffnotes

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own. After that quick mandatory disclosure I am excited to announce that Batwoman is now available on Blu-ray for anyone who might have been having an issue watching the series on The CW, actual channel or their free online site, or could not get HBO Max, which was the only streaming service that you could watch it on after the finale. With a release today you have plenty of time to get caught up on the first season in time for the second season and for the arrival of the new Batwoman. The Bi Line: Let Me Be Your Batwoman from @kleffnotes

Yes, you read that correctly, I want to be your Batwoman. As many people already know Ruby Rose has left Batwoman and it appeared  as though the plan was to replace Kate Kane/Batwoman. It has been noted that for this casting they do plan to cast someone from within the LGBTQ+ community. While recasting can be an issue for shows, I know I have personally been thrown by recastings, though they were all for shows in reruns. Childhood Katherine was very displeased when Bewitched on Nick at Nite replaced Darren, but that is a story for another day. After initially writing this article, these go up bi-weekly because I couldn’t resist tying the schedule to the title of the article series, it has been announced that Batwoman will no longer be Kate Kane, but more on that later.

My Kinda Recaps: Batwoman Bits ( @KindaTV_ ) from @kleffnotes

The news that fans have nominated Natasha Negovanlis and Elise Bauman for the role of Batwoman in the upcoming CW show appeared last week, but with my filming schedule I couldn’t delve into it until this week. I share some thoughts and where you can learn more about the lesbian Jewish superhero. Continue reading “My Kinda Recaps: Batwoman Bits ( @KindaTV_ ) from @kleffnotes”

Wild Batwoman Speculations from @kleffnotes

Today it was announced  that Batwoman will be introduced as part of the four episode DC CW crossover event happening in December of this year. Now for those of you that don’t know I completely adore and am basically obsessed with Batwoman. I have Funko figures, a collectible figurine, all of the graphic novels, all the single issues of her recent Batwoman solo series, and she is literally the reason I started reading Detective Comics when DC announced their Rebirth line. This news has me very excited, but admittedly a little worried, about how my favorite character will appear within the DC CW universe. I thought I would share some of my concerns as well as just general thoughts I have about how they will tie her into their existing world with all of you. Fangirl Freakouts: #Batwoman Rebirth ( @DCComics ) from @kleffnotes

This week DC Comics released Batwoman Rebirth to kick off the upcoming Batwoman solo series. I have been ridiculously excited about this moment for months and with each new issue of Detective Comics I was getting more and more freaked out. To celebrate I decided to focus this week’s Fangirl Freakouts on Batwoman and her Rebirth. Continue reading “Fangirl Freakouts: #Batwoman Rebirth ( @DCComics ) from @kleffnotes”

Batwoman Updates from @DCComics from @kleffnotes

This week DC Comics released new information about the upcoming Batwoman solo comic series. Batwoman has emerged as one of my absolute favorite new DC characters ever since I read details about her in Sam Maggs’ The Fangirl’s Guide to the Galaxy. I have been devouring the comics that involve Batwoman ever since that moment. Though she currently doesn’t have a solo comic you can find Kate Kane within Detective Comics, working with Batman to train a team to help protect the city of Gotham. With this series on my pull list I have been keeping up to date with my favorite character and I have been eagerly awaiting any updates about her solo series. Why I Love Batwoman from @kleffnotes ( @DCComics )

I have loved Batman ever since I was a little kid. I have very clear memories of my face practically smashed against the tv set watching Batman: The Animated Series every afternoon on Cartoon Network. This love of Batman continued on as I got older and started watching Batman Beyond, all of the Batman movies, and began my journey into comic books. I would read random Batman comics, but it wasn’t until recently that I actually began really delving into the Batman comics universe.
