Rational Creatures Seed and Spark Campaign from @kleffnotes

Rational Creatures is a literary webseries inspired by Jane Austen’s Persuasion. A group of international female creators, who have worked on a variety of literary inspired webseries before, are all working together to bring this series to life. You may have seen their previous works which include: Merry Maidens, Twincidents, Away From It All, and Nottingham. They are currently crowdfunding on Seed and Spark and I have all the details.

The two primary characters of Rational Creatures are Ana and Fred, who after high school have been living two very different lives. Ana has been persuaded to put her family’s needs before her own and is working at their travel agency, while secretly wishing she could see the world. Fred, a proud bisexual character, has been living a nomadic life since graduation and is an up and coming travel writer with a second book deal on the horizon. Eight years ago the two had never imagined they would be so far apart and when they find themselves back together they find themselves struggling to connect.

Rational Creatures will be told through a combination of third person exposition and flashback vlogs. These will delve into the relationship between Ana and Fred and what led their relationship to fall apart. The tone will have a soft and memory-like quality full of warm tones and natural lighting. The series will be full of queer lead and supporting characters as well as complex female characters. You can find out more about Rational Creatures on Seed and Spark.
