Interview with Veronika Slowikowska from @kleffnotes

I had the opportunity to chat with Veronika Slowikowska about her upcoming part in the new FX series, What We Do In The Shadows. As a fan of the original film, I have been excitedly waiting for the release of the series and loved that I could get some insight into some of the things to come when the show releases on March 27th. The Bi Line: Nikki & Nora @ClexaCon Feature from @kleffnotes

Every year ClexaCon hosts a Film Festival full of diverse LGBTQ+ content and I thought that for my two March Bi-Line articles I would feature some content from one specific company. Tello Films has been a partner and sponsor of ClexaCon since the beginning and this year they are bringing even more content to the convention. This week I wanted to highlight Nikki & Nora, a series that was resurrected by Tello after the original pilot was not picked up by a major network. While this series will not be showing at ClexaCon, the leads will be there. Continue reading “The Bi Line: Nikki & Nora @ClexaCon Feature from @kleffnotes”

The Bi Line: Sex Education and You from @kleffnotes

The title of this article totally sounds like a self help book or some sort of sexual memoir. It really isn’t, it’s actually all about Netflix television shows because I was pleasantly surprised by queer storylines recently while doing some binging. Now I’m not saying all of this plots were very big or picture perfect, but I still found myself enjoying them. Continue reading “The Bi Line: Sex Education and You from @kleffnotes”

The Drag Roast of Heklina @REVRYTV Review from @kleffnotes

The drag legend Heklina, one of San Francisco’s most well known drag queens, is being roasted by some fantastic people on Revry in The Drag Roast of Heklina. In this hilarious comedy feature she is the subject of some fabulously crafted insults that will have you laughing out loud. The panel of roasters is made up of some Drag Race favorites including Alaska and Jinkx Monsoon as well as some really great drag stars Jackie Beat( as the emceee), Bob the Drag Queen, Sister Roma, Julie Brown, and Peaches Christ. The Bi Line: The Bisexual Because I Have To, Right? from @kleffnotes

As someone who decided to start an article series with Bi in the title, I think the universe demands that I write about the Hulu Original Series The Bisexual. The series debuted in late 2018 on the streaming service and I decided to save any coverage of it for this specific venue. The series focuses on Leila, played by Desiree Akhavan, who after ten years with her girlfriend decides that she needs to take a break. This sets into motion a period of experimentation and examination that leads her to at one point identify as bisexual. Thoughts on Netflix’s Gypsy from @kleffnotes

If you haven’t noticed based on some of my previous articles, December is a bit of a catch up month for me. Since I typically have a bit more down time between Thanksgiving and Christmas I try and watch as many shows as I can that have been sitting on my list. I had heard a number of things about Gypsy and I finally found myself with the time to watch it. Some of my thoughts here might not be entirely popular, but I thought since the show will only ever have this one season that I would share them. Why I Love Killing Eve from @kleffnotes

I know I am very late to this particular show, but in my defense I managed to miss the first couple of Killing Eve episodes and just could not get my dvr to cooperate. I really did try, it just took a very long time. While I had a bit of a break I found out that the first season was available on Hulu and I jumped right in. Instead of recapping the series I thought I would focus on what personally sucked me into Killing Eve and the connection between Villanelle and Eve.
