Finally after all this time, the much awaited Teen Wolf Season 5B returned. I was beyond excited for this premiere! It was good to see the Pack again. There was so much going on, let’s see if I can fit it all in. Forgive me if I leave anything out. This article contains spoilers.

Season 5B picked up where 5A left off, with Scott still recovering from his brief death, his healing seems quite off. Seeing him collapse like that, I was like oh no no no. Sheriff Stilinski being rushed to the hospital fighting for his life. So if anyone thought things were going to get easier….you’re watching the wrong show!

This episode continues in the flash forwards scenes as they were doing in the 5A finale. Lydia is with Dr. Valack in Eichen House, telling him what she is seeing in her mind. Unfortunately he has drilled a hole in her head as he did to himself, he says to amplify her powers. She tells him she’s  in the river where Theo let his sister die. She sees his sister’s body with her heart missing. Valack grabs a file, looking confused and concerned. He realizes Theo let his sister die and took her heart to become a genetic chimera. Now he has to figure out why the Dread Doctors would want a ten year old boy. Then Chimera pack shows up at Eichen House and they want Lydia.

Flashback to normal time and Parrish is in the shower, washing off soot. Lydia walks up behind him, he turns and they kiss. Lydia goes weird, as she often does, she says to him “You’re a harbinger of death, Jordan, don’t you know?” He asks “know what?” “Someone’s dying” she replies. He realizes that Lydia is in danger. He goes searching for her on his own. After lighting a flare, his supernatural instincts take over. Parrish finds her by the nementon, catatonic and skin like ice.

Scott wakes up on the floor with Parrish in his face. He brought Lydia, still catatonic, with him. He tells Scott she carved a sheriff’s badge into a rock in the woods. Scott knows it’s a warning. They take Lydia to the hospital, and Scott goes to check on the sheriff, who just came out of surgery. The doctors tell Stiles they don’t really know what’s wrong with his dad, that something seems to be poisoning, infecting him. At that moment, Stiles sees Scott and goes after him, tackling him to the floor, screaming “where we’re you”. Scott tells him, his dad isn’t the only one in trouble, to which he replied “yea you’ll heal”.

Stiles goes to Lydia’s room, but her mother throws him out. As she’s throwing him out he yells to her to check the back of her neck, but she blames him and the pack for Lydia’s condition and refuses to listen. Ms. Martin hesitantly walks over to her daughter and turns her head to see the back of Lydia’s neck. There are claw marks there. Then Lydia says, “I told you to stay in the car”.

Ms. Martin signs her daughter over to Eichen House, after a doctor guarantees he can keep Lydia safe there. Parrish walks up as they are taking Lydia away, vowing to her mother, “I’m going to find a way to get her  out of there. Even if I have to break through the walls”.

Valack is in the ambulance with Lydia and the driver. The driver makes a smartass comment about her and Valack tells him “she could shatter skulls with her voice if she was taught how”.

Stiles tells Scott he wants to talk to Theo, to see if there’s a cure for his father. They go to Stiles house, where Scott hides upstairs and eavesdrops on Stiles and Theo’s conversation. Theo tells Stiles he knows what’s coming, he knows what the Dread Doctors are, and what Parrish is. Stiles just wants to save his father. Theo says to him, “if your dad does survive, he’s not gonna be sheriff of anything much longer”. Stiles jumps up at Theo and Theo knocks him back. Stiles falls backwards, hits his head on the stairs, and his knocked out as Theo gets away. Stiles hears his dad’s voice in his head to get up, and is awoken by Scott. Scott tells him that Theo’s heart jumped once when talking about the sheriff’s poisoning. They took it to mean that Theo didn’t do it but another chimera did.

Stiles wants to find this chimera, Noah, alone but Scott talks him into working together. Scott called Malina, without telling Stiles. Feeling a little weird after realizing Stiles didn’t want her help, she tells Scott “we broke up” and he tells her “yea we kinda broke up too”. He offers to talk with her but Malina like, she doesn’t want to share. She catches Noah’s scent. They head into underground tunnels to find the chimera. Stiles gets knocked out again. While he’s out he has a memory of his mother’s funeral. He recovers as they all hear the Dread Doctors coming. Scott tells Stiles to get Noah out of there and save his dad, that him and Malina will slow down the Doctors.

Malina is confused on how exactly they’re going to slow down the Dread Doctors, Scott reveals she isn’t the only one he called. Suddenly Chris Argent appears with a big ass gun. Unfortunately, the bullets have no effect on the Doctors.

As Stiles and Noah are trying to escape  Noah claims he can’t remember anything about what he did to the sheriff. They come upon a locked gate, Noah turns so he can break the lock. When Noah’s claws come out, Stiles notices a piece of the claw is missing. He calls Melissa (Scott’s mom), and she runs to the surgeon, who happens to be Liam’s dad, and begs him to open up Stilinski and remove the piece. Hesitantly he does it and finds the piece, saving his life. Stilinski wakes up to see Stiles sleeping at his bedside. He reaches over and tells his kid “it’s ok Stiles, you still got me”.

Liam has been following Hayden’ s deputy sister around, he wanted to tell her that Hayden was dead. Mason stops him completely worried that they will see Liam as a suspect. Liam thinks he can hear Hayden’s heartbeat, Mason convinces him otherwise. Liam wants to find Hayden’s body. They rip a map from a book and go searching for the nemeton. Not being able to find it, Mason suggests Liam look with his wolf eyes since the nemeton is a beacon for supernatural creatures. It works but Hayden’s body isn’t there. They only find four bodies when there’s suppose to be eight. Cops pull up behind  them and Hayden steps out saying that’s where she found the bodies. Liam and Mason look a little beyond shocked.

Theo takes Hayden to where Scott and Malina picked up Noah’s scent. They find silver and realize he’s dying, or that the Dread Doctors have already found him. On the wall, they see the symbol of the Alpha’ s pack. Theo knows Scott is planning a return.

Flash-forward, back to Valack and Lydia. Valack asks Lydia if Scott got his pack back, she says “all but one”, then Theo and his pack break in. Valack tells Theo that the Doctors don’t realize how important Lydia is, then asks ” what does a pack of chimeras want with a banshee?” Theo says they don’t want Lydia, they want a hellhound. Just then an angry, on fire Parrish breaks down the gate. Valack’ s said “well you wanted a hellhound………”
