I saw Strong Female Protagonist at a bookstore and on a whim decided that I wanted to check this two book series out. This was one of the best decisions of my reading career. Yes, I’m saying I have a career in reading, I do a lot of reviewing which means that combined with pleasure reading seems like a career level amount of time. The Blue Room or La Chambre Bleue is a French film from 2014 that is part of a Mubi’s recent creator highlight of the month. Released this week for view, The Blue Room by Mathieu Amalric, opens with a passionate couple in a blue room, but in a matter of minutes the tone of the film shifts. The man in the room is being questioned by the police about the woman he was with and it appears that their affair was not the secret he believed it to be. Roswell New Mexico is a reboot of Roswell that aired on The WB 1999-2002. It is based on the Roswell book series by Melinda Metz and premieres on The CW on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.

Somehow over the course of my life I had never actually watched Chasing Amy. This becomes a bit more surprising once I point out that I have watched a number of Kevin Smith movies and I even used to watch the show he had on AMC. For date nights, since we are long distance, Krista and I sometimes pick out shows or movies to watch simultaneously and when she learned I’d never seen Chasing Amy she thought we definitely needed to add it to the list.
