For 16 years, viewers and fans have loved actress Kristin Kreuk. She first appeared on our television screen as Lana Lang on TheWB/CW series Smallville. And recently, she played beloved heroine Detective Catherine Chandler on The CW’s Beauty and the Beast.
As we near the end of this year I thought I would take some time to share with you all one of my New Year’s Eve traditions. Every year on December 31st Syfy Channel airs The Twilight Zone marathon and at 11:30 pm, or as close as they can get depending on air time and commercials, they air the same episode. If you know me, you know I am not a big fan of remakes. Most of the time remakes are just awful. I especially don’t like a remade film being completely changed plot wise. Is it so hard to come up with new characters for your new updated plot on classic stories???
Now with that being said, I don’t dislike all remakes. Some are done quite well, quite well. Some are done very tastefully and paying homage to the original. Bringing you a story you know and love, and making it more, making it better, giving you a brand new experience. As if you were seeing it for the first time.
For 12 seasons, the hunting adventures and family drama of Sam and Dean Winchester (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles) on The CW’s Supernatural have excited fans. We’ve laughed over funny moments, cheered for their triumphs (take that Azazel, Lilith etc) and cried over their tragic losses (deaths…so, so, so many deaths). But through it all, we’ve believed in Sam and Dean, their hunting skill and their undeniable brotherly love.
I know 2016 has been a bit of a well, it’s been a year, but I wanted to try and focus on some of the positives. I try to stay positive, even through an unplanned coughing fit and a random unfocused intro. Still I give you some of the pop culture positives of this year.
