Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Joey and Phoebe.  You may forget the names of your own friends over the years, but these are the names of friends who are unforgettable.

It has been announced that NBC that the cast of the mega-hit sitcom Friends will be reuniting for a two-hour reunion special coming in February honoring director James Burrows. Friends aired on NBC 1994-2004 and was a number one program on the NBC network for many years.  It made household names of the cast.

Fans copied everything from Rachel’s haircut. The romance of Ross and Rachel was the stuff of office conversations at water coolers.  As a 20-something employee of during the Friends era, I can speak from experience on the phenomenal effect Friends had at work. I also think the popularity of Central Perk helped to skyrocket coffee establishments like Starbucks.

I’ll never forget the impression these friends made on the television landscape and the unforgettable theme song:
