For three weeks, I have been addicted to the prison drama Wentworth. However, it wasn’t the first drama about life behind bars that captivated my interest. That distinction goes to the FOX’s series Prison Break starring Wentworth Miller as Michael Scofield and Dominic Purcell as Lincoln Burrows.
Prison Break aired on FOX 2005-2009 and followed Michael Scofield’s quest to free his wrongly imprisoned older brother Lincoln Burrows after a government conspiracy that found Lincoln locked behind bars. It was full of action, adventure and danger. Not to mention unforgettable characters like T-Bag.
A 9-episode revival of the series has been announced and is set to begin filming in March.
Since both Miller and Purcell are currently filming The CW series Legends of Tomorrow, their availability will depend on that show’s shooting schedule.
Sarah Wayne Callies (currently starring in Colony) and Robert Knepper (recently joining the cast of iZombie) may also join the revival depending on how talks go to get them on board.
Are you excited for the return of Prison Break?
