Several weeks ago, I posed the question of ‘Who Should Be Governor of Wentworth Prison?’ listing correctional officers Vera Bennett, Will Jackson and Matt Fletcher as possible candidates.  There was one officer I neglected to include – Linda Miles.

Linda Miles is one of the correctional officers at Wentworth Prison who doesn’t seem to be that interested in career upward mobility. She appears to be more than happy with keeping things status quo.  Probably because of her gambling addiction, she prefers to have a friendly ‘bartering’ relationship with the inmates.  She has been seen obtaining requested items for Franky Doyle and Bea Smith in exchange for cash.

She initially had a friendship with colleague Vera Bennett until Miles’ “involvement” with Vera’s ex Matt Fletcher.  Although Linda Miles follows Governor Joan Bennett’s orders, she longs for the day when her boss will be gone from WentworthPrison, though she’s not as assertive as others have been to help make it happen.
