#The100 – Ye Who Enter Here Review via @stacyamiller85 @The100writers @JRothenbergTV

Offering an episode full of power conflicts and heavy in action, The 100 kicked it up a notch in the Episode 3 “Ye Who Enter.”

This article contains spoilers so if you haven’t seen the episode, please do not continue reading.

The long awaited confrontation between Clarke and Lexa provided moments of raw emotion fueled by anger over betrayal.  Lexa stated her position as a leader who did what she had to do for her people, reminding Clarke that had she been in the same position, she would have done the same.  In fact, Clarke did betray those in Mount Weather who aided her by killing them.  Despite Lexa’s valid points, Clarke stood her ground, refusing to offer forgiveness to Lexa.

The Commander offers Wanheda a deal: For the Sky people to join her people as the 13th Clan which will provide both groups with the double force needed to defeat The Ice Nation.

It’s obvious that Lexa means business and will not have anyone challenge her authority when she pushes an Ice Nation representative out of the tower window and he plunges to his death. She’s one Badass Commander!

Kudos to Alycia Debnam-Carey, she portrays Lexa as strong and committed but with traces of feelings for Clarke, which are often conveyed through looks rather than with words.

Meanwhile, Echo gives Bellamy some valuable intel regarding the danger that will befall those at the summit. From the moment she appeared in the episode, I kept saying to myself  “Don’t trust her Bellamy”. And boy did I call it.  It was revealed that Echo was in cahoots with The Ice Nation, whose assassin blew up Mount Weather instead of attacking Clarke and those at the Summit as she originally led Bellamy to believe was the motivation.

Poor Bellamy definitely wasn’t having a good night as his trust of the wrong person caused a person he cared about, Gina, to be killed before she could turn off the self destruct with the code from Raven.  Prior to that, Raven got to show her vulnerability in a touching scene with Sinclair.  Lindsey Morgan can go from tough to sensitive, making the character and actress, Lindsey Morgan, one of The 100’s valuable commodities for which there are many.

The episode finally revealed the much mentioned Ice Queen.  Although she had a short scene at the end, viewers were given a glimpse of her cruelness and intensity.  I can’t wait to see more!

Some noticeable things to add:

  • Both Lexa and Clarke being counseled to kill the other.
  • Bellamy displaying a lack of emotion at killing the guards, something he didn’t have to do but chose to do so anyway
  • Abby and Kane agreeing to an election to end their bid to be Chancellor
  • Was it me or did Clarke look like a bride walking down the aisle to her intended?  I’m sure “Clexa” fans probably thought the same
  • I enjoyed seeing the, I don’t know what to call it friendship? between Indra and Kane.  Hopefully, we’ll get more scenes between these two

Overall, I felt this was the best episode of Season 3.  It was full of everything I love about The 100: emotion, excitement and danger.  I was reminded of the reason why I fell in love with the show in the first place.
