Last October, I began listening to the Americana sounds of singer/songwriter Mandy Rowden’s “These Bad Habits” LP and this was the best habit I started.

Mandy Rowden has a voice that touches the listener and reaches into emotions with every chord.  This is a gifted musician who I know will go far. Mandy is classified as Americana, but in her honor, I coined the phrase ‘Counrockafolk’ as her sound is a mixture of country, rock and folk.

Last year, I had a daily 3 hour bus commute to work and I thank Mandy Rowden and her music for making this long journey pleasant when it could have been otherwise.

I have a wish to one day see Mandy perform on ABC’s Nashville, one of my favorite shows.
