The Flash sent its characters to Earth 2 last week and we got to meet some interesting versions of their counterparts.  Unfortunately, Barry ended up a prisoner of Zoom.

The story continued from last week’s episode as Team Flash tried to figure out a way to rescue Barry.  This time, Earth 2’s Barry joined the team. Grant Gustin portrayal of the two Barrys was interesting in the fact that Earth 2’s version gave Barry and even higher level of geekiness but didn’t stop the character from displaying the traits of a hero fans love.

Although the second part of the adventures on Earth 2 focused less on the dopplegangers as the previous episode, Caitlin’s Killer Frost character got to be explored, transcending into more than a villain of the week. Danielle Panabaker did an excellent job as Killer Frost. As on both Earths, Caitlin loved Ronny.  But Earth 2’s version showed how grief had hardened her heart, making it frosty cold.

But Killer Frost still had a bit of Caitlin in her as she ended up joining Team Flash to help rescue Barry and Harrison Wells’ daughter, Jessie. But perhaps my favorite scene of The Flash was when Earth 2 Barry gave a pep talk to Earth 1’s Barry about believing in his abilities as The Flash.

Season 2 have introduced some great characters that have added to the series: Wally, Jay, Jessie. And the relationships these characters have forged with already established characters can only expand the mythology. Now that Jessie is on Earth 1, it will be good to see her interactions with other brilliant minds of Star Labs, her father, Cisco and Caitlin.

Overall, “Escape From Earth 2” was a rewarding episode. The Flash made Earth 2 a great place to visit.
