Former Smallville Supergirl Laura Vandervoort traded her cape for a new character with a different look on Supergirl.

I recently spoke with actress Laura Vandervoort regarding her feelings about rejoining the Supergirl universe as another character other than Kara. She was candid in stating how Melissa Benoist’s Kara was a different character from the one she played on Smallville and looked forward to playing Indigo.

After watching Vandervoort as Indigo on Supergirl, I offer bravos. Her Indigo was a highly intelligent entity targeting the computer system. This was a villain with more brains than brawn. Additionally, Indigo revealed she was the reason Kara made it to Earth.

If you are one of the many fans of Bitten, you already know that Laura Vandervoort is an extremely gifted actress with tremendous range. It’s always great to see her explore new characters and to get inside their heads and show their motivations.

I mentioned to Laura that I strongly believe in her talent and know she’ll continue to soar in the industry.
