Happy Birthday #GH ‘s Dillon Quartermaine @Robertpwatkins via @stacyamiller85

Being a recast for a role created by another actor can be daunting. It requires maintaining enough of the original character while also making it your own.

Such was the challenge faced by Robert Watkins when he started on General Hospital last year as Dillon Quatermaine. The role was originated by Scott Clifton (The Bold and the Beautiful’s Liam Spencer). Dillon is the son of Tracy Quartermaine and Paul Hornsby. He had a teenage marriage to Georgie Jones, who was tragically murdered.

Film maker Dillon returned to town and became a part of the Dante/Lulu/Valerie family drama. Despite the complications of that triangle and his involvement, Dillon remained a nice guy and friend to both Lulu (who he harbored feeling for) and Valerie.

Robert has displayed tremendous chemistry with all his scene partners. Which couldn’t be an easy task when one of those scene partners is legendary actress Jane Elliott as mother Tracy.

Now, Dillon is in a new storyline and relationship with Kiki Jerome.

So on this June 18 your birthday, I wish you much success and happiness in your career and thank you for playing Dillon.
