There’s nothing like listening to a great podcast to add to your enjoyment of a topic that you’re interested in.
The information provided by the host or hosts, the interaction with the audience and the knowledge of the subject are part of the things that enhances the quality of the podcast.
One podcast that incorporates all of these qualities is The Shipping Room Podcast. Hosts Christine Marie and Tamar talk shipping and are gurus when it comes to the subject. If you enjoy discussing ships with others who share your passion, this is the podcast for you.
I must admit, I’m not a shipper. I love film and television couples as much as the next guy but that’s the least thing I look for when watching. If Harry and Sally love each other, that’s great but I’m not focusing on their romance or whoever else in the story would make a great couple. Bellclarke, Clexa, fans get passionate (sometimes overly passionate to the point of being zealots) about their favorite pairing which at times can make social media a nasty and uncomfortable place to be. The Shipping Room Podcast provides a safe environment for enjoying and talking about what you love. Christine and Tamar offer respect to their listeners by taking all opinions into consideration. That’s another thing I value about The Shipping Room Podcast. They care about their audience. And if you can get a non-shipper like me enjoying a podcast about shipping, that says a lot.
I had the great privilege of interviewing Christine Marie and Tamar last year and found them to be very personable, an important quality for a podcast host. They had clear ideas on the subject of shipping and a define mission statement for The Shipping Room Podcast.
Happy Anniversary Shipping Room Podcast! Here’s to your continued success for many years to come.
