Don’t split up. Don’t say “I’ll be right back”. Don’t go off alone. Don’t have sex. These are some of the “how to survive a horror movie” rules. We know them. We live them. But what happens when one of these main rules are broken?
Pure awesomeness!!
Stranger Things is really taking the world by the balls. I haven’t met a person yet who hasn’t loved the Netflix Original series.
The Duffer Brothers have broken a major rule and it took me this long to notice. Teenage sex and no deaths.
Our teenage super couple, Nancy and Steve got their freak on and they’re still alive. In fact, Nancy survived the monster more than once after her sexual escapade. Steve also survived his hilarious and badass encounter with Flower Face demogorgon. I mean, he beat the living crap out of the monster. It was like his night with Nancy scared away all the fright and suddenly you could see the man switch on in him. You really do see it. When he runs away and gets to his car, ready to bolt. He stops, looks back, he knows HIS woman is in trouble, he goes back, he fights like he ain’t got nothing to lose. His Tom Cruise moment. Not to say Nancy wasn’t just as badass. That girl was putting bullets directly in that thing. Bam bam bam bam. I mean if bullets could have phased it, she would had killed it quick.
Now, our red haired favorite, Barb, went off by herself, untouched. Creature got her. What did poor Barb do to deserve this? She broke one “rule”, but her virginity should have saved her. The Duffer’s said forget that, threw it out the window, and took her out.
The Brothers have shown us they don’t play by the rules. No ones safe.
I can’t wait to see what other rules they break in Season 2.
If you noticed any other broken “rules”, let me know in the comments or find me on Twitter @erinwise82 or @thenerdygirlexp
